Conclusion to the Musical Experiment

Holy shiznat. Every single song is amazing...and what's really cool is that they're all very different. SO.

Here we go! (zipped)
And here's Griffin's contribution (which was too large for me to include in that zipped file)

Track list (in no particular order other than alphabetically):

A Silver Mount Zion - Dead Marines
Braid - The New Nathan Detroits
Max Alexander - Roaring Sound of Percussive Banjos
Supertramp - Hide In Your Shell
Tegan and Sara - Where Does The Good Go?
Thrice - See You in the Shallows
Tiga - Far From Home (DFA vocal remix)

I did mix them together into one file but it was too large to YSI or email. Ah well.

I'm thinking that I'm definitely going to do this again...Thanks everyone!

  • Is that the ACTUAL roaring sound of percussive banjos, griffin, or is it an electro-acoustic redo?

    either way, best mix ever.

  • In your blogger profile, I'm a bit (re: a lot) offended by your favourite music: "Any music. Except the really hardcore punk screamy rock. Especially because, since I posted songs for this mix, I've been on a screamy hardcore binge.

So in protest, I haven't listened to this yet.

  • Do you consider your contributions "really hardcore punk screamy rock"? Because I enjoyed them.

  • Not at all. Thrice does has some "screamy" songs, but obviously I chose a poppier one.

  • Note that it says "FAVOURITE music" in the profile...

Anyways, the link I added on the main blog page should make you happy Amber.

  • The Adventures of Valence Bond Man! makes me very happy!

And duly noted about the favourite thing, however that only invalidates your musical preferences, and makes it hurt even more, since it implies that you prefer any style of music over the music I tried so dearly to force down your throat.

  • Or through my external auditory meatus, for that matter.

Let me end it with this: my profile music description is not a personal attack on anyone's musical preferences. Particularily Amber's. It simply entails my current musical preference. ze end.

  • *applause* It was awesome, and that desciption only makes it a hundred times better.
