You Know My Name

I FINALLY saw Casino Royale last week. I was pretty impressed...I also liked Daniel Craig as Bond. He's not as "upper-class British" seeming as the other Bonds, but he did well as a sort of rugged Bond.

I do, however, have a bone to pick. If Bond was upgraded to 007 status in this film, and the film obviously takes place in current times (i.e. due to technology, the year 2006 on the security footage dvds), are they completely negating all the old Bond flicks or what? I saw Casino Royale with my friend Aaron, and we were both annoyed by this factor. There's probably an explanation floating around somewhere on the net...

Other than that, it was pretty neat--the construction site-jumping guy was amazing, and I also enjoyed the theme song and intro sequence. It was also rather hilarious to compare this to the old flicks, a few of which I watched over the holidays...the gender stereotypes and whatnot, plus the tech that used to be so cool.
