The Electric Version (part two)
I am STILL waiting to get "Mass Romantic", but I recently acquired "The Electric Version", also by the New Pornographers, and I'm loving it. They have such an upbeat catchy style...it makes me want to dance. So far my favourite tracks are "All for Swinging You Around", "Testament to Youth in Verse", and the title track.
More music:
JT's "Futuresex/Lovesounds": haven't made it all the way through the album yet (only about half-way), but it also makes me want to dance. So I do.
Favourite tracks so far: title track, "Lovestoned/I Think She Knows Interlude" (which is a truly sick song), and of course "Sexyback".
Patrick Wolf's "Wind in the Wires": Haven't listened to it yet. Maybe a few songs in the party shuffle, and what I've heard I like, but not much to say on it yet.
Sigur Ros' "Takk...": also haven't listened to it all yet, but I love "Glosoli". It's such an ethereal song, soothing but breaks out into such a swelling of sound at the end...so good.
Joel Plaskett Emergency's "Make a Little Noise": three songs on this "album". I've only really listened to two of them, and the reigning favourite is "Nowhere With You." It doesn't matter how I feel or where I am, this song puts an instant grin on my face and, again, I want to dance and jump around. Very catchy and upbeat.
And that's what mostly spinning right now, album-wise. I recommend checking them out.

Yay for Sigur Ros! I've been listening to Takk a lot recently, since it's one of two good cd's in my crappy collection, and my laptop speakers are fried. It's devastating.
Favourite Sigur Ros song: Ny Batteri
I saw you THREE times today! Hehe.
